my second and bigger canvas

gradients of downtown LA canvas

I'm very excited for my second canvas! It's by far much larger than my first one, coming in at 24"x30". This was a very thoughtful gift from a good friend. It took me a long time to decide which photo to print and I finally settled on this one, Gradients of Downtown LA. This was taken back in 2009 during a hike with two friends from the Griffths Observatory to the Hollywood sign.

The company that printed my second canvas is Picture it on a Canvas. The website's format and difficulty to navigate through the order process was confusing and a bit of a turn off. Secondly, when I received my canvas in mail, it wasn't packaged as securely as Canvas on Demand. If something were to happen during transit, it could have easily damaged the canvas. Also, upon further expection, I noticed that there's a small chip on the bottom left corner of the canvas. I can tell because the bottom is all black but I see a white speck.

I've only used two companies thus far and can only rate between these two experiences. I also know Costco does canvases but have not gotten the chance to try them out yet. I have seen their product on display in person, and it looks decent. But it's a different story when it's your own photo. So between these two internet companies, I prefer Canvas on Demand for their customer service and product quality.
